In the tension section across the Yangtze River in China's "West-to-East Power Transmission" project, Preformed conductor strain clamps are used to replace traditional bolt-type wire clamps to avoid conductor damage caused by stress concentration. The Preformed wire is fully in contact with the conductor. Through field testing, it has been running in strong wind areas for 3 years without slippage or broken strands, and the maintenance cost is reduced. Preformed conductor strain clamps play an important role in preformed hardware.
