Helical armor rods for overhead line
Helical armor rods are key protective components in overhead power and communication lines, typically made of aluminum alloy or high-strength steel with a helical design. Their primary role is to safeguard conductors or optical cables: by tightly wrapping around the line, they distribute stress at contact points with hardware (e.g., insulators, clamps), preventing fatigue damage from wind vibration, thermal expansion/contraction, etc. They also resist external abrasion, corrosion, and bird pecking, extending the line's lifespan.
